Hi, I imagine you found me painting somewhere in Dublin City Centre and I sent you here. Well, that’s good, thanks for visiting! My name is Cole and I’m a homeless artist in Dublin.

I was rough sleeping in Tallaght, City Centre, and then Phoenix Park for a long long time.

During winter last year I was able to get into emergency accommodation. The homeless hostel had free wifi so I started watching youtube videos. Eventually I started watching art videos. I ran with it, and begged around for an art space.

Through luck, I got into one of those art studio spaces generously subsidized by Dublin City art grants. With this space I have been able to stage my finished street paintings and I have also even been able to get into sculpture production with plaster and concrete. I have no idea what I’m doing beyond what youtube taught me, but its grand.

It keeps me away from booze and drugs. I hope to eventually get out of the homeless hostel system.
